New reading and running material

You'd think that things would slow down in the OCR community during the holidays, but we should all know by now that the successful laugh at the concept of 'rest'!  Spartan Race has just released their first online magazine (similar to MudRunFun magazine) via issu.  It's shorter than MRF mag, but it's well worth the read.  This issue follows the champions of the 2013 Vermont world championship that we saw on NBC Sports earlier this month.  Give it a quick gander here.

Aside from Christmas, we will keep meeting up for our T1 events, so keep up the great participation!  To those in the Tampa regiment, stay tuned.  We plan on overhauling our events section to include T1 training events nationwide!

Congratulations!

Two returning elites and five new elites have joined the rare ranks of the regiment! Incredible work everyone. Rest well. You earned it.

GORUCK Loves us. Let's love them back

The fine ladies and gentlemen of GORUCK HQ have hooked us up with a discount code for all GORUCK good livin' events.  These events include Light, Challenge, Heavy, and Selection.  Since we've got a pretty big GORUCK following already, why don't we show them how much we appreciate GRHQ by utilizing their $20 off code?  Use code CFMudRUN1 to get said awesome discount.

In fact, if you register for a good livin' event right now, they are also hooking you up with a buy one get one deal ON TOP OF the discount code.  Which means if you apply the code and split it with a buddy, it comes out to just $50 for a challenge.  You know, like the Febuary 7th challenge that we all plan on attending, yes?   :)

[See you all out there]

T3 updates and upgrades!

Video games are fun.  We know this because the regiment began as a group of gamers who wanted to make a change in their lifestyle.  Using this knowledge of fun stuff, the December T3 will now feature perks that the team can unlock with burpee points.  Each registrant automatically starts with 2 points, and can earn or lose more points through online pre-challenges that must be completed before their fateful trials commence on the 15th.  If they work together as a team and familiarize themselves with each other's strengths and weaknesses they shall be rewarded.

That is the lesson of these kinds of events.  If you put forth more than your share of the work, your team will naturally destroy their challenges.  If that lesson is learned a little earlier into the game, then that's even better!
