The T3 awaits

Spartan Ultrabeast was the absolute best event I've ever seen!  More will be posted on that later.  For now, I've got some juicy T3 information for you all to digest.  Registration closes for this event tonight at 9pm EDT, so if you've got the last minute jitters you might want to sort those out soon.  Weather permitting, I will be posting live updates over at our T3 Live Updates section so you don't want to miss out!  As of now, seven brave candidates (four elite, three aspiring elite) will meet at the designated starting point at 8:30am to begin what many will deem the hardest event of their life.  This event will train them to take on high-caliber events such as GORUCK, Spartan Beast/Ultrabeast, Worlds Toughest Mudder, and more.  Nowadays, the word 'ellite' is thrown around cheaply.   We at The Regiment like to bring meaning back into that word.

Looking forward

We've got a lot of projects, so keep your eyes out on some fancy updates in the coming weeks.  Here are some videos we're cooking up for you guys:

  • Hog Wild 4
  • Monster Challenges
  • St. Augustine T3

Other things to look forward to include some racing gear.  Sure, every team has their own shirts, but you've probably got an entire closet worth of racing shirts that you're tired of getting.  Knowing that, The Regiment wants to give you something different.  I won't reveal what that will be for now (I know... I know) but we're listening to the input from awesome folks such as yourself, and we hope to help you and your racing experience in the coolest way possible.

Our regiment elite at Hog Wild

We had nine folks from our regiment elite out at Hog Wild this weekend.  Not listed is Damion since he arrived a little later (slacker!).  Best group of people out there :)

American Mud Race Video is done!

As always, it's posted here first :)

It was another exciting event with some new challenging obstacles.  Good work everyone!  Be sure to check out our videos section for other chronicles of our adventures.  Mud and blood!

Regiment takes all medals at Masters of All Terrain!

A half marathon is kind of boring.  The miles can become monotonous after a while, so the folks at MoAT decided to make a half marathon on a trail going through Florida's finest natural settings.  That's cool and all, but The Regiment desires more when it comes to high mileage!  Enter the Masters of All Terrain ruck division.  Our members wore 14% body weight placed into either a ruck or tire and cranked out those 13.1 miles through the Florida bush and took all three medals!  The course was well monitored and the hydration stations were plentiful.  All and all it was a beautiful day for an amazing event!

Hello, new people!

It seems our page has been picking up in activity lately, and to that I say you guys are awesome!  So let me give you some info you might get some use out of.

Training

We do training in Orlando three days a week at 5pm and 6:30pm for OCR, Running and ruck events.  We often post information on this in our group page

T3 Stuff

Want to be one of the elites?  Many do, but many don't make it.  Check out the events page for the who/what/where on the next training session!

Community

We consider ourselves part of MudRunFun.  For a good metaphor, think of MudRunFun as the nation, and us as the state.

Facebook

A lot of our interactions are on Facebook.  We post our training, pictures and videos on our group page consisting of nearly 200 members.  Just request an invite and I'll hook you up.

See you guys at the UltraBeast!

This is an event that gets me nervous just thinking about it.  To those doing the beast the day before, I'll be there cheering you on.  For now I must continue training.

Come hang out with us at AMR!

American Mud Race has become one of the most reliable and beginner-friendly events in central Florida.  Even if you're an advanced OCR athlete, you're allowed to run as many laps as you want!  That being the case, there will be a lot of regiment folks out at AMR, and we'll even have our own pavilion tent!  Feel free to socialize, get some water, and get to know the crew.  Keep an eye out for some of our 29 elite members brandishing their red R!

Now, usually these events cost a fortune.  We get that.  Which is why you're now going to get a 45% discount.  Yep.  45 freaking percent.  Don't say we never did anything for 'ya!  As always, these discounts come in the form of a promo code.  That promocode is MUDCRAZY.  Register here.

(compliments of fellow regiment elite and two time T3 finisher Jillian Nicole).

Next T3 officially revealed!

We're branching out!  The next T3 is going to take place in St. Augustine, FL on the 28th of September.  This is going to be a day class, so hydration and heat exhaustion are going to be major factors in this one.  Head over to our events section to find out more about this event.  As always, if you have any questions you can contact us directly.  Hope to see you there!

-------------------------------------------------------------

Less than 30 people hold the coveted rank of elite in The Regiment. Do you have what it takes to earn your red R and join the ranks of these elite members?

The T3 is a 10-12 hour, 16 mile team-building ruck, swim, and obstacle run event that is divided into five themed laps that train, test and challenge every aspect of your mind and body. This event is designed to prepare you for big events like GORUCK Challenge, Spartan Beast (maybe ultrabeast), World's Toughest Mudder and other high-caliber events out there. The trials you will endure are as follows:

Lap 1 - Water challenges

Lap 2 - Feats of strength

Lap 3 - Feats of endurance

Lap 4 - Feats of camaraderie

Lap 5 - Feats of intellect

Aspiring elite are expected to bring a backpack/ruck consisting of at least 20% body weight (we'll have a scale), a headlamp and clothes to get wet and sandy in. Those who abide by the GORUCK rule (6 bricks if above 150 lbs) will grant bonus burpee points to your team.  You will be provided with food and drinks after every lap is completed, so we got you covered!

Those who make it to the end (people have quit) will receive the coveted red R patch and the rare honor that only the elite get to share in The Regiment. Nobody has said this was easy, but everybody has said it was worth it. This time it will be at a campground.  If you want to stay overnight, reserve your campsite now at http://floridastateparks.reserveamerica.com/campsiteCalendar.do?page=matrix&calarvdate=09/18/2013&contractCode=FL&parkId=281003
